|The Godpods Project
Bantu Hope, South Central Conference Ministerial Department, and Adventist World Radio are committed to engaging every non-reader in remote villages in Cameroon with God's Word using solar-powered devices: “The godpods.”
|Finishing the task of reaching all of mankind with the message of God's love is definitely daunting. The General Conference stated in the Sabbath School lesson of June 22, 2009 that 12,000 to 20,000 ethnic groups have not yet been reached with the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. Our work, therefore, is not finished until all people groups have been reached with the gospel.
Currently, Bantu Hope is reaching out to the Bamileke people in the mountain region in west Cameroon, Central Africa, with the gospel of our
1- High illiteracy rate: up to 85% in some villages,
2- Indigenous beliefs: Ancestral worship
3- Language barrier: 278 ethnic groups speaking 278 different languages in Cameroon with a population of 20.4 million
We believe that special challenges create special opportunities for God and those who put their faith and trust in Him. The high illiteracy rate, the indigenous beliefs, and the language barrier create a special challenge for any evangelistic effort in remote villages. Nevertheless, Phil. 4:13 reminds us that all things are possible through Christ that strengthens us.
After much prayer, the Lord led us to a partnership with the the South Central Conference Ministerial Department and Adventist World Radio (AWR) for the godpod project. A godpod is a solar-powered audio-device loaded with scripture based messages in local languages. With a godpod, people receive the good news of our Lord Jesus Christ in their own language, in the quietness of their own home without any peer influence.
In partnership with Adventist Word Radio (AWR), the South Central Conference Ministerial Department, we are committed to sending 4,000 godpods to Cameroon, Africa, every year until every family in every remote area has the opportunity to hear the good news of our Lord Jesus Christ!
Jesus said in John 8:32 “you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” When you partner with Bantu Hope Ministries to get a godpod in a family, that family will have the opportunity to know the truth that can set them free if they so choose.
It cost $50 to get a godpod in a family in Africa. A typical family in Africa has about 10 people. With a $50 investment, you can reach 10 people with the gospel that would not have been reached otherwise.
Why don’t you pray right now and ask God if you are part of His plan for this godpod project? May be He wants you so sponsor 1, 2, 5, 10, or 100 godpods right now. Or maybe He wants you to subscribe to give 1 or 2 godpods a month at $50 each or to donate any amount suitable to your budget.
